If you require medical attention outside normal surgery hours please ring 111. The out-of-hours period is from 18:30 to 08:00 on weekdays and all day at weekends and on bank holidays.
Your call will then be put through to a trained receptionist at the Out-of-hours On-call Service, who will take your details. You will need to provide your name, address, the name of your GP, a contact telephone number and date of birth. Please be ready with these details.
Depending on the nature of your problem they will return your call and you will speak to a doctor who will give you appropriate advice or ask you to attend an out-of-hours centre or visit.
Read more about NHS111 here.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
